This accelerated video (3-minute long initially), shows a take off from Beijing - to then reach Shanghai.
If at the beginning - as well as at mid-altitude - the usual smog of pollution is clearly visible (short line of sight), it’s when we quit that everyday mist that we realize its hugeness: it actually seems to be an enormous cloud encompassing the whole city.
At least if you travel there during summer you will be partially protected from the sunlight (it’s already really hot without it anyway
