Hong Kong is a territory located on China’s south coast on the Pearl River Delta, bordering Guangdong province to the north and facing the South China Sea to the east, west and south. Have you been to Hong Kong? Do you want to know about this island? If that so, I will tell you what I discover to the Asian Fragrant Harbour. I bought a round trip ticket at Cebu Pacific Airline. I booked a five-day stay in Hong Kong. Back to fifth month of the year, May eleven thousand and eight around three o’clock in the morning I woke up to prepare myself for my first flight. I arrived at the Ninoy Aquino National Airport (NAIA) around six o’clock. We took an hour to fix all the transaction needed to the airport. We flew from Philippines to Hong Kong at exactly eight thirty in the morning. That was my first time to ride an airplane; I was very excited to experience the flight but when the plane reached the sky, I felt dizzy and vomiting.

When we landed in Hong Kong at ten o’ clock (Hong Kong and Philippines has a same time) and I felt normal again. The first thing I noticed is the climate, it is colder in the island than manila. We used the Hong Kong Express as our transportation from airport to Kowloon then tourist bus from Kowloon to Tsim Sha Tsui, the place where we accommodated hotel (Ramada Hotel). The first activity we did at the island is to eat our lunch. I ordered a country chicken near in our hotel and I did not finish the food because it is unusual in my taste (I never had experience to eat a Hong Kong delicacy). After we ate, we went back at the Ramada hotel to take rest for the next activities. I was busy looking at the brochures that I took in the airport; I saw the tourist attractions like Ocean Park, Disneyland, Nathan road, Avenue of Stars, Mongkok the market town, Park lane Shopper’s Boulevard. Repulse bay, Stanley market and many more. When I read the Discover Hong Kong by Rail a booklet, I was so impress because you can tour the island by MTR railway. After an hour rest, we started to walk by Nathan road to familiarize the place in case of emergency.

I slept early because I was tired in travel and I was excited for the next activity (Ocean Park). I woke up early to prepare for the planned destination. We took MTR railway to Admiralty Station and take City bus 629 to reached the entrance of the amusement park. While on the road, I saw a sea and mountain and I found out that the park built on the top of the mountain and near by the sea. I was very amaze on the concept of the amusement park. I had a super extravagant experience at Ocean Park because I made things that I never done in the Philippines like, ride in a cable car, rollercoaster and tower of the Ocean Park, View the different creatures like different aquatic and land animals, Witnessed the dolphin and sea lion show and visiting the souvenir shops located at the park. We spend a whole day activity at the park. On next day, we shopping and bargain hunting. We walk at the Nathan road, Park lane Shopper’s Boulevard, Avenue of Stars. We ride a city bus to view the Repulse Bay and bargain hunting in Stanley Market. At that night, we tour the Mongkok the night market. I was looking for the pair of rubber shoes, and I bought original Converse Chuck Taylor the newest edition at that time. It cost cheaper price than the Philippines selling price. I also bought a bag for my niece. I was very tired in that day because we are walking all day. It likes a death march.

At the fourth day staying in fragrant harbour, it is my cousin birthday. He planned to celebrate his birthday to Disneyland. We ride MTR railway, from Tsuen Wan line to Tung Chung line and lastly we transport to Disneyland Resort Line. I enjoy the place because I felt like a princess because of the ambiance. Moreover, I noticed that the activities are more enjoyable by kids. In addition, I adore the adventure land because of Tarzan’s tree house and Jungle River Cruise. I love the fantasyland because of the sleeping beauty castle, Mickey’s PhiliharMagic and the latest attraction that time; it is a small world. I had a good time in Tomorrowland because of the space mountain and stitch encounter. I appreciate the other attraction in the Disneyland like Disney on Parade, Disney in the stars (firework display), stage show entitled “Festival of the Lion King” and “High School Musical”, and the souvenir shops. We arrive the hotel late at night because we want to witness the firework display. I slept late at that night because I packed my things for the departure on the next day. At the last day staying in Hong Kong, we went back to Mongkok to buy remembrance. I bought shirt for my family and skull jacket for my own remembrance.

We leave the hotel exactly three o’clock in the afternoon. The flight was delay, from seven o’clock to eight thirty in the evening. I got home eleven thirty in the evening. Now I know why Hong Kong is the one of the world’s leading financial centers because they have a lots of attraction that is why Hong Kong’s economy is dominated by the service sector, which accounts for over ninety percent of its, gross domestic product while industry now constitutes just nine percent. Inflation was at two percent in two thousand and seven. However, when I was in my bed, I realized that if Philippines have attraction that is more beautiful. If we could develop the attraction spot, the economy will increase because tourism brings economic, environmental and social benefits.
